Three reasons

Insufficient Lubricating Oil (Dry Friction Noise)

Cause: Bearings, gears, and other components experience gradual lubrication loss due to prolonged operation. If lubricating oil isn't added on time, the components will rub dry, producing a screeching "squeak" sound and becoming hot to the touch. In severe cases, they may seize up.

Solution: Add lubricating oil according to the instruction manual – add grease to bearings every 200 hours (use a grease gun until new oil is squeezed out of the bearing gaps); change the gear oil in the gearbox every 3 months, ensuring the oil level reaches the mark on the oil level gauge (don't add too much, it will overflow; don't add too little, it will cause dry friction). Check the oil level before each startup and add oil if necessary.

2. Dirty or Deteriorated Lubricating Oil (Contamination Friction Noise)

Cause: Over time, lubricating oil can become contaminated with dust and metal shavings, becoming black and thick, losing its lubricating effect. When components operate in dirty oil, increased friction causes a "rustling" noise and accelerates wear, such as scratches on the ball bearings.

Solution: Change the oil regularly, don't wait until it deteriorates—gear oil should be changed after 3 months, even if it doesn't look dirty. Before changing the oil, drain the old oil from the gearbox, flush it with diesel fuel, and then add new oil. If the bearing grease is dirty, wipe off the old grease and apply new grease; do not mix old and new grease.

3. Incorrect Lubricating Oil Type (Lubrication Failure Noise)

Reason: Different components require different types of lubricating oil. For example, bearings require lithium-based grease (butter), while gearboxes require industrial gear oil (engine oil). If the wrong oil is used (e.g., adding grease to the gearbox), the lubricating oil will not provide lubrication, increasing friction and causing a "humming" noise, and may even damage the components.

Solution: Strictly follow the instructions when selecting oil; do not arbitrarily change the type. Use No. 3 lithium-based grease for bearings (suitable for medium to high speed operation), and No. 150 industrial gear oil for gearboxes (suitable for heavy-duty transmission). When buying oil, choose products from reputable manufacturers; do not buy inferior oil, as it not only provides poor lubrication but can also corrode components.
